The Tracking module was developed by Economic Data Services (EDS) using the Sage Line 100 Retrieve 4GL language and is completely compatible with other Line 100 modules.

The Tracking module performs two major functions:

  • Recording of actual labour times and costs against works orders
  • Tracking of stock serial or batch numbers from receipt through stock and production using bar codes.

The Tracking module allows you to record actual labour times against specific works orders raised through the Sovman Works Order module. Actual times may be entered from timesheets through the Timesheet Entry function or times may be recorded ‘on-line’ using the Labour Time Recording function.

Employee details may be created within the Tracking module or can be linked to the Sage Line 100 employee details within the Payroll module. Timesheets entered through the tracking module may be posted to the Line 100 payroll module.

Actual labour times may be recorded against specific employees, works orders and user defined cost headings for categories of labour.

The actual times and costs are recorded against the works orders and may be analysed using the reporting and enquiry functions within the Sovman works order and tracking module.

In addition to recording labour, the Tracking module also allows you to track raw material and manufactured product through stock and production including traceability of serial and batch numbers.

Raw material stock may be entered through the Tracking goods received function. Individual batch numbers may be entered at this stage and bar code labels printed. The receipts update the Line 100 stock control and purchase order processing modules.

Stock may subsequently be moved from one location (depot and location) to another within the tracking module and additional bar code labels printed where batches have been split or new batches created.

Stock may be tracked using bar code scanners. Data may be entered using a keyboard wedge or stock checks processed through remote hand held scanners.
