sage capacity planning

sage capacity planning

The Capacity Planning module integrates with the Sage Line 100 Stock Control module and Sovman Bill of Materials and Works Order Modules.

The module provides all the functions to maintain details of Work Centres, Operations and Product Routings.

Work centres can be identified as labour or machine types. Sub-contractor work centres may be identified. Work centres include standard rates for costing purposes. Charge out rates and mark up percentages can be stored for estimating purposes.

Operation details are held and linked to a work centre. Operations may be linked to multiple work centres to include labour and machine functions. Setup, run, movement and queue times are held for each operation.

Routings are defined for each product manufactured and specified within the Sovman Bill of Materials file. Routings may be serial or parallel, allowing network structures to be specified.

A daily calendar may be created showing capacity available. Calendars can be linked to work centres to allow for holidays, maintenance etc.

The routings information is used to cost a product through the Sovman Bill of Materials module. Manufacturing costs are separated into materials, setup, labour, machine and overhead costs. Batch quantities are taken into account for setup times.

Works orders created through the Sovman Works Order module are used to load onto operations and work centres to show the capacity required. This may be viewed in graphical form.
